How healthy are the walls in your home?
Did you know that 40% of Australians suffer allergies when exposed to mould. This reaction costs Australia ten of billions of dollars every year in lost productivity and illness. One of the major sources of indoor pollution is air conditioning systems, where mould, bacteria, mildew and fungus thrive. Unfortunately normal cleaning practices in the home or workplace may not usually include regular cleaning and washing of walls so bacteria, mould, mildew and fungi may accumulate.
To help combat this problem, Taubmans has introduced Easy Coat with Microban, a range of premium interior acrylic paints for Preparation, Walls and Ceilings.

What Is Microban?
Microban is the latest in antibacterial technology. Microban can be incorporated into many materials, such as paint, plastics, rubber and many more.
Microban protects against nasty bacteria such as E. coli, Salmonella, Golden Staph, Listeria and helps provent against the growth of mould, mildew and fungus.

How Does Microban Work?
Microban is incorporated into the paint at the manufacturing stage, and once painted, it forms a physical barrier against bacteria, which does not wear off or wash off, and lasts the life of the paint.
When microbes such as bacteria, mould and mildew come in contact with the painted surface, Microban's effective ingredient acts to deplete the cells of important metal ions and disrupts their ability to generate energy, which slows their growth and ultimately causes them to die.
The effective ingredient works continuously to protect against food borne bacteria, bacterial stains and odours, and mould, mildew and fungus, keeping your painted surfaces cleaner and fresher.

How Safe Is Microban?
Microban is one of the most widely tested antibacterial and antifungal ingredients in the world and has been proven effective in 20 000 tests by over 27 independent laboratories around the world. Microban is so safe, that it is approved for skin contact and is found in many items, such as cosmetics, toothbrushes, knife edges, fridge interiors, food storage containers and many more.
